About Michelle DiMattia, MA, CCC-SLP
Ms. DiMattia joined ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery as the Director of Speech-Language Pathology in 2024 and has been affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ since 2020. She isa Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. Her clinical specialty is in neonatal and pediatric dysphagia and feeding, with extensive experience in both adult and pediatric dysphagia for hospital, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.
Ms. Michelle DiMattia, Director of Speech-Language Pathology, Hearing & Speech Center at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ. She received her Master of Arts in Communication Disorders at the University of Minnesota, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and board certification from the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. She has been a clinical instructor for over 25 years in multiple hospitals, training staff and graduate students in videofluoroscopic swallow studies and dysphagia assessment and intervention. In addition, she has helped several hospitals train their clinicians in assessment and treatment of premature infants in NICU settings and neonatal and pediatric videoflurosocopy.
Her clinical practice includes the evaluation and intervention of dysphagia and feeding disorders in infants, children, and adults, including issues related to but not limited to:
